University campus implements Emergency Threat and Critical Public Announcement System
• Disseminate messages directly to campuses from a single interface
• Optergy Enterprise single interface BMS
• Broadcast announcements throughout all campuses
Expansion of existing integrated BMS/VOIP system to provide Emergency Threat and Critical Public Announcements using the EWIS, Occupant Warning System (OWS) and Tone Generator (TGEN) networks.
The client requires the ability to be able to disseminate either prerecorded messages or handset calls directly to their campuses on a single interface.
Previously, Alerton was able to develop an interface to the clients VOIP system to enable prerecorded wav files to be broadcast for specific events and to specific groups to a selected number of buildings.
The current proposal involves coordinating Fire, IT and Power/Data service providers to expand the system to nearly all buildings.
The client also required an all-in price to ensure the approved budget would not be exceeded.
The Swinburne campuses are now equipped to broadcast Emergency Threat and Critical Public Announcements throughout all campuses from a Central Command Centre using the Optergy Enterprise BMS.
This will help them provide a safe environment for their staff, students and visitors.
